What a sad video. I pity both sides.
One can only hope those kids don't catch up to the soldiers in the form of explosive devices.
That Ruth Marcus column is largely lifted from a Hendrick Herzberg piece (whom I'm very familiar with thanks to Norm) from a year or two ago. It probably reaches the level of plagiarism. Herzberg's original point is a good one, though. For every Hertzberg, EJ Dionne or Glenn Greenwald there are three or four other columnists cribbing their ideas and research.
